Regardless of motive, IMO Musk's The American Party will rescue the Democrats from committing Hari Kari, just as the Progressive "Bull Moose" Party of Teddy Roosevelt did in 1911, and the Reform Party of Ross Perot did in 1995. Look for Gavin Newsom to win by a popular plurality (43%) and a narrow electoral college majority in '28. Silicon Valley and the CCP will be the big winners.
