Just wondered. Very intrigued by this posting. Have you been to this place? There are Greek Catholics also in Croatia.

What is the meaning of your posting about this apparition of the virgin now? Was there sth of significance to today’s situation that the girls received?

If i had to do an educated guess... this sounds like a running show to make $$$ over christianity as many isolated villages do with spooky christian story( venezuela the bloody crying mary, if i remember) now the question is what tech is used for the appearance and all. lets call houdini to find out and the S.A.M association... ho wait, their dead;)

Now i said what i think of it, i may be wrong since its a guess, but i do wonder what the 3 sages thinks of this? I put forward my heretic thinking, i hope you can put forward your point of view over this too.

thanks =)

Thank you for your sincere comment. There have been thousands of reports of the Marian apparitions over the last few decades, including in the US. These take place exclusively among Catholic believers, almost always to ordinary people, not religious professionals, with no particular interest in setting up commercial enterprise to capitalize on them. In fact, the visionaries have frequently been subjected to skepticism, ridicule, or even persecution at the hands of civil and religious authorities. Those of us in the comfortable West, especially the US, fail to appreciate the immense amount of stress much of the world is under due to the present condition of endless war, stresses both military, economic, and cultural, that drives so many people to despair. It is natural that people everywhere should be looking at the symbols of their religion for deliverance. And there is plenty of evidence throughout history that the spiritual world is responsive to such seeking. So I try to keep an open mind.

An 'open mind' is certainly a good idea...

Has Mr. Cook, (or anyone), ever grappled with the question of why God does not help us in this our hour of direst need?

Why does God look down on us, as we twist helplessly in the deadly fatal wind of our own human foibles, the self-same foibles that directly caused our ascent to primacy over our environment?

If God is willing to appear, in some form, to people in obscure locations, why is God not willing to appear before all Humanity, to guide us to the critical spiritual evolution/epiphany/awakening without which we are not likely to survive, as a species of creatures living on this planet, too much longer?

We are, after all, in our most basic animal nature, only the creatures that God or Nature (take your pick) has made. All our human problems, including our current existential predicament, (with our survival as a species immediately in question, in the near term), are caused by the same 'human nature' that has made us so successful in dominating the Earth.

If we assume that God created us with some purpose in mind, if we assume that God loves us and wants us to survive, why does God not DO something to give us a little help in achieving the spiritual evolution/epiphany/awakening that would allow us to survive?

Recall the 'Dawn of Humanity' scene from Kubrick's masterpiece 'Space Odyssey': https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ypEaGQb6dJk

A recent article on Unz, entitled 'War Making Apes', posited that, as in Kubrick's scene, human intelligence evolved in Nature, (as a 'gift from God', for those who think in such terms), as a Darwinian means of tribal dominance.

https://www.unz.com/article/war-making-apes/

We developed intelligence for the specific purpose of being better able to fight and defeat other tribes of humans, and thus to dominate our environment. Those who 'got smarter' prevailed. Those who lagged behind (evolutionally speaking) either died off or were enslaved.

That self-same 'gift from God' is precisely what now threatens us with self-annihilation. In Kubrick's masterpiece scene, the man-ape throws the thigh-bone into the air, to become the space station, and thus are millions of years of the evolution of human intelligence and technology explained.

But we yet are no more, spiritually, than the same hairy primordial warlike tribal apes vying to dominate the water-hole.

Imagine if God set down a 'monolith' before us, exactly as appeared to the ape-creatures, to inspire them to 'be more'. Imagine an immovable object, impervious to any penetration or any other affect by mere human technology. Imagine such a monolith appearing on the National Mall, in Washington, and in the Kremlin, in Moscow, and at the site of Al-Asqa in Jerusalem, and in Beijing, and in Tehran, etc, etc.

If God is willing to make appearances to people in obscure places, what 'divine purpose' is served? If God is willing to appear before us in some form, why not do so in a form that could cause a 'spiritual awakening' among all Humanity?

'Free Will' is the answer most often given... Hmm... Eve ate that apple... Adam did the same... They ate from the tree of knowledge of Good and Evil... God created us for some divine purpose, but that purpose requires that we somehow solve this riddle before the enraged and aroused Nuclear Demon breaks free from its chains.

"Don't be alarmed, ladies and gentlemen... Those chains are made of valerian steel.."
