In 1795 or so, my French relative (Pierre Sorieul dit Sansoucy) came to Canada. He may have come to 'help' with the Indian 'problem', but of course ended up intermarrying with tribal peoples. From whence I am. But I can see that France has been hobbled, historically, like so many countries, by the greed of leadership. It is how I have ended up as someone who does not want to be led.
I certainly resonate with what you say. My own paternal grandfather was French Canadian with Native American heritage also. I write about this in my book, "Our Country, Then and Now" which has a lot of information about the Indians in Montana. France has been terribly abused by the Empire but is also home to much religious history of great value. One of my favorite books btw is Willa Cather's "Shadow on the Rock" about the history of Quebec.
Ah, synchros, I read a nice bio of Cather and had resolved to read THAT book in particular. The bio was quite good, though I cannot remember the author and sent the book away to a friend. Your book sounds interesting, as well. best

I studied at the Sorbonne for a year and I have never been consistently treated like a subhuman, daily, like that, non-stop, for a year. They usually thought I was a Brit, who they despised, for the reasons, I now understand! lol. I was so glad to get out of there!

Interesting article from Mr. Cook. I was struck, however, by this paragraph:

I think Mr. Cook surely knows that ALL Mass Media are under the centralized control of the very people that don't want us to learn, or to know, what Mass Media 'could' teach us.
Also, I think he is very wrong to suppose that Mass Media "do not teach us anything at all". They most certainly drum many cultural messages into our minds that cause us to behave in ways that the people who rule over us, the people who own and control Mass Media, want us to behave. The Mass Media, Hollywood included, teach us a GREAT deal. They just don't teach us the things that would be in our best interests to know.

There are two movies based (I believe both are) on a novel - "The Jew Suss" by Lion Feuchtwanger.
One was made by Germany towards the end of WW2, the other was made in 1935 in England and is unwatchable. Predictably, Wikipedia says of the German version that it is "the most Anti Semitic film ever made." I think it follows the book very closely. The author of the book is a Jew.
Who should one believe? An author who was very popular in Europe and wrote many works of serious literature or a CIA Zionist hack writing for Wikipedia and immediately playing the "AntiSemite Libel" card?
About ten years ago I read an interesting statistic: 86% of Jews in America bought Israeli State Bonds. It did not specify how many of them were Zionists.
56 years ago, when I was 14, my parents started going away for weekends & leaving me locked out in the street. After a couple months winter was coming. The Auschwitz survivors across the street told my parents they saw "someone" climbing in the window & called the police. So my father gave me a key, because what would the neighbors think & what if they really did call the police. The nice Christian neighbors just looked the other way. Maybe gossiped about it. 🤷
I have known nice Jews & rotten Jews in my life. I've also known nice Christians & rotten Christians. And a few nice Muslims, no rotten ones (but their #s in my life are very low). A few rotten Hindus, including 2 sexual predators out of very low #s of Hindus.
