What I've just read is alas completely unknown to almost 100% of the french people as those who teach in France's education system are of course oblivious to any of this important information.

Across the English Channel in Blighty, access to real history beyond the opaque thick fog of 'His'story has of course remained unknown to all but very few citizens.

'Ignorance is Strength' has prevailed🥴

In 1795 or so, my French relative (Pierre Sorieul dit Sansoucy) came to Canada. He may have come to 'help' with the Indian 'problem', but of course ended up intermarrying with tribal peoples. From whence I am. But I can see that France has been hobbled, historically, like so many countries, by the greed of leadership. It is how I have ended up as someone who does not want to be led.
