I have been seeking to learn who Jesus is for a few years now. I started with the KJV Bible, moved to other translations, & landed with a Lamsa translation based on KJV, but corrected directly from the Peshitta. I believe that, with the exception of Paul the original writings were in the Syriac dialect of Aramaic, which was the lingua franca of the time. Since Lamsa was born into & grew up in an Aramaic community, it was his 1st language & he was steeped in the culture. Lamsa also wrote a book specifically on Aramaic idioms & style of speech in relation to the Bible, which is very helpful in clarifying the thought behind writings. Also, they initially rejected John's Revelations, including them only after a couple hundred years.

At the same time, I have looked at other religions' views of Jesus, eg the Islam/Koran, Theosophy, & a book from an Indian dated ~1900, which I found as a free pdf iirc from google books. The Indians called him Issa (which is also his name in Arabic) & believe he visited India after his Resurrection. I look specifically where descriptions overlap v where they differ, plus where they fit or contradict my own spiritual experiences. I have on order now 2 books by Yogananda.

Btw, his name in Aramaic is Eshu.

I read the Bo Yin Ra books on Jesus. His beliefs about Jesus seem very close to, if not identical with, Theosophy. The Indians call him an Ascended Master. The Moslems call him the greatest Prophet & believe Paul corrupted his teachings by introducing pagan concepts.

I could be mistaken, but iirc, it was Paul who introduced payment for services, which to me is what opened the door to corruption & went directly against Jesus' teachings & example. I'll have to go back & re-read Paul to be sure (no time right now).

really interesting! I will look further into that bo yin ra writtings as soon i'm done with at least 1 of the multiple book i started reading. Now i got many question, but i'll shoot 1 and a comments.

Question is: The new teacher prophecise by bo yin ra if he is like jesus will be against the deepstate and all elites equivalent of the pharisee and such. So its not a elon musk kushner, baron or trump kinda thing to guess....and the wave it would do on earth considering the exponential of people, the diffusion with technology to a warp speed degree! What would you hypothese it would cause for reaction, have you 3 talked about who would that teacher be? I find this question more fun than to find the anti-chirst ;)

And the comment is: Since the sages went to jesus to teach him, and they are luminaries. Did you 3 choses the name of your substack with that in mind? to be 3 light guiding curious souls ike me to higher understanding? Or am i mistaken and its for a totaly different reason? well... turns out to be a second question more than a comment.

I could swarm with question on many thing said here but dont want to be an harrassement. So thank you for this sharing, it will be usefull for me soon.

Thanks for commenting. The Three Sages refer to the authors of these articles: Cook, Lama, and Coleman. We are not THE three wise men, though we do the best we can.

My best advice is to launch into an in-depth study of Bô Yin Râ. Truth is to be found within ourselves. For me, a serious practice of meditation was the gateway. But we also need guidance and the one figure in modern Western history who can provide that to us is Bô Yin Râ. The one book I would most recommend is "On Prayer." Take a look at the practices contained in this book and let me know what you think.

Greetings to you, Mr. Cook, and also to the rest of the Three Sages. I recently read "Why the West can't win" by Fadi Lama - thanks to a recommendation on the website of Prof. Chossudovsky's Global Research - and which has since become one of my top favorite political books. Leaving behind Empire towards a multipolar BRICS world. I like that.

Concerning Jesus' life in India I refer you to the works of two authors from Russia: Nicolas Notovitch's 'The Unknown Life Of Jesus Christ' https://www.amazon.com/Life-Jesus-Christ-Nicolas-Notovitch/dp/1440489602 and Nicholas Roerich's travel diary 'Altai-Himalaya'. According to the RA Material, Jesus left Judaea at the age of 14 before returning there at the age of 25.

If there was a teacher who could help Christians to overcome their differences then I would name David Wilcock and his phenomenal books 'The Science of Oneness' and 'The Shift of the Ages'.

Nikola Tesla, the acknowledged smartest man in the World, said that after a lifetime of spiritual study of all the religions, spiritual teachings, theosophies, and philosophies, the one that facilitates the greatest connection to God, is Buddhism.

Its true.

If you read Bô Yin Râ's works you will find his most interesting comments on Buddhism.
